The average number of guests at a wedding is around 40. So, if we take the average cash gift per guest and multiply it by the number of guests, we get a total of $6,720.
Of course, this is just an estimate as not every guest will give you money, and some will provide more than the average amount. However, it’s a good starting point to give you an idea of what you could expect from your cash registry.

We don’t want to include registries that haven’t been used, and we don’t want to include registries with tremendous values gone through them, as this will inflate the numbers.

We have noticed from the data that the sweet spot has over six items to choose from for guests. This allows your guests to pick and choose what they would like to give you and contribute to different things if they wish.
